Kristi and her husband, Greg, have four grown sons and have been at Kettlebrook since the beginning. They serve in different capacities within the Kettlebrook faith family; together, they love any opportunity to provide hospitality because they see it as a beautiful glimpse of God’s invitation to relationship, grace and love.
Kristi’s understanding of faith in God has been a slow, steady growth in her life. Most recently, Dane Ortlund’s books, Gentle and Lowly and Deeper have been growing her understanding of God’s character and Jesus’ heart. Through the podcast, Being Known, she’s learning how shame can be undone and healing can happen through a trusted connection that allows for deep vulnerability, both with God and other people. A favorite quote comes from Tim Keller, “To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God.”
Kristi desires to help others grow in faith and understand God’s unfailing love. Hearing other people’s stories over tea is one of her greatest joys. Her other joys include spending time with family and friends, playing board games and riding a horse through the woods.
